I’m so thrilled for you that you’re considering a celebrant-led ceremony, where the possibilities are endless! It’s your chance to have a ceremony that is all about YOU and really shows off your beautiful love story.
And hey, what’s that? Writing love stories is my absolute favourite thing to do! I’m a published author of several queer romantic novels and short stories so trust me when I say I know my stuff. It will be an utter joy and privilege to learn about your love story and write all the magical moments of it into your completely bespoke, truly affirming ceremony.

I know weddings and marriage can mean lots of different things to LGBTQ+ people. Giddy and gay, yes, for sure! But it can also be complicated and confusing and hard to navigate, when you’re faced with lots of expectations that might not necessarily feel like what you want, and a wedding industry that still has a long way to go when it comes to being truly inclusive of LGBTQ+ people.
I can be here for you through all of it, and help you figure out what’s right for you.

Any WHERE you want
Your own garden or living room? Yes! Your favourite park under your favourite tree? We can do that! On a beach by the rolling waves, in a secluded woodland glade that looks like it could be a portal to the fairy realm... A celebrant-led ceremony can take place wherever your heart leads you!

Any WORDS you want
Not a bride or groom, and not going to be a husband or a wife? I get it! Want to quote your favourite author or poet or movie scene? I love it! There's absolutely no required wording in a celebrant-led ceremony - we can build the whole thing from scratch and make sure all the words in it make sense for you and your relationship. We'll refer to you with whatever words make you the most comfortable.

Any WAY you want
Handfasting? I had one in my own ceremony and I would love to do that for you! You can plant a tree, mix a cocktail, create a time capsule... There are so many symbolic elements out there – I can help you find one that's right for you and add it to your ceremony. Love D&D and want to roll for initiative to decide who goes first with the vows? I am SO ready.
What’s included
Free no-obligation initial consultation in person or on Zoom
Follow-up chats & a questionnaire sent to each of you so I can get to know you and learn what makes you giddy about each other!
An original & bespoke ceremony script – you’ve told me your love story, so I’ll get to work crafting a swoonworthy script to tell it back to you and all your guests, exactly the way you deserve to be seen and celebrated
Making tweaks and edits – I’ll send the draft script to you and we can make any changes we need so you’re completely happy with it
Support with any bits of the script/ceremony – writer’s block with your personal vows? Trouble finding that perfect reading? Want to incorporate your cultural traditions? Interested in symbolic elements but have no idea where to start? I’m here for you!
A rehearsal if you’re having one – if not we can do a quick check-in before the day and practise any action-filled bits such as handfasting
Being there for you on your special day – getting there early to make sure the ceremony space is set up properly and delivering your giddy & gay ceremony with warmth and love!
Travel within the M25 in London – if your location is outside of this, I’ll discuss additional travel and accommodation costs with you during our initial chat
Prices
£800 if you make the booking and pay the deposit by the end of 2024 (for dates in 2025 & beyond)
£900 for any bookings made in 2025
Add-ons: vow books and wedding guest books (handmade by my wife Olivia!)
When we got married, my wife Olivia (book conservator & embroidery artist extraordinaire, owner of Hoop and Hammer Conservation) made us a gorgeous embroidered guest book for guests to write their heartfelt messages, and also these beautiful vow books so we could write our personal vows to each other in them and read from the vow books rather than from a piece of paper on the day.
The vow books looked amazing in the photos and they’re a wonderful keepsake that we’ll treasure for life. The guest book is another incredible keepsake, plush and filled with loving scribbles from all our guests. I love holding it and rereading everyone’s messages and feeling that same rush of joy and affection that I felt on the day!
