I became a celebrant first and foremost because I wanted to help other LGBTQ+ folks who might be alienated by the idea of a traditional ceremony. This will forever be a space where queer love and joy are treasured and affirmed, and where trans and nonbinary identities are embraced.

That said, you absolutely don’t have to be LGBTQ+ to work with me – I welcome all to-be-weds who share my values and who can say a hearty “hell yeah!” to the following:

Making sure your ceremony is inclusive and accessible for everyone present
Daring to be different, to question traditions and throw them out the window if they don’t suit you
Focusing on what makes you happy on your big day
Being open to sharing things about yourselves with me, so we can co-create a ceremony that truly shines with your light
